I spend time with my little garden every day. Impatiently I await the first tomatoes and cucumbers. The lettuce is still producing tasty greens even though we have had unseasonably hot days.
I had no idea potato plants grew so large! Last year we had sweet potatoes, which produced an attractive vine that took over a large part of the yard. But the potato plants are smothering some of my tomatoes behind them. Oh well, live and learn.
These aren’t the greatest photos, since it was the middle afternoon when I took them, not the best lighting.
Alina helps when she can, and she enjoys visiting with the compost worms.
While impatiently waiting for the garden, I have started collecting some peppermint to dry. It will stay in the utility room until ready for storage.
We have been enjoying the fresh peppermint too!
