Two of my favorite sources of inspiration have paired up to offer an online class on food storage and preservation. Just in time for the abundance of summer, Harvest will offer ideas and inspiration on methods for freezing, drying, fermenting, storing, and canning summer foods to be enjoyed throughout the year.
Ben Hewitt is the author of several books on food including The Town That Food Saved: How One Community Found Vitality in Local Food, and Making Supper Safe: One Man’s Quest to Learn the Truth About Food Safety. Ben’s writing is informative and well-researched, but his story-telling style brings us the personal side of local food and food safety.
Heather offers a down-to-earth and practical approach to whole foods and is an inspiration in the kitchen.
Harvest is a self-paced, two-week online workshop – a place for home gardeners, CSA members, and farmers market enthusiasts. Join us for two weeks this summer, learning how to enjoy, preserve, and make the most of summer’s bounty.
Registration is open, workshop begins July 27th.
